Rural Behavioral Health
Southcentral Foundation behavioral health clinicians travel to rural clinics where SCF provides care. Services include:
- Mental health intervention services that fall under your medical care
- Ongoing individual counseling services
- Crisis intervention, including risk assessment for suicidal and homicidal ideation
Clinicians work together with your integrated care team to ensure the best care possible is provided.
SCF Rural Behavioral Health also has an Anchorage-based case manager, as well as behavioral health aides based in some rural communities. Behavioral health aides and case managers assist in supportive roles for your overall treatment. They also provide support services in gathering and submitting referrals.
BHCs are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-noon, and 1-5 p.m. Rural customer-owners can make appointments by calling the applicable local clinic or contacting Rural Behavioral Health at (907) 729-3028.
