Alaska Native Health Resource Advocate Program
Created in 1997, the Alaska Native Health Resource Advocate Program (ANHRAP) was developed to meet the information and referral needs of Alaska Native people living outside of Alaska or within Alaska who do not reside in the Southcentral Foundation Anchorage Service Unit.
SCF Primary Care integrated community resource specialists (CRS) to support customer-owners in the SCF Anchorage Service Unit in 2016.
ANHRAP and CRS assist Alaska Native people and their family members by identifying, locating, and connecting them to appropriate and available health, social, educational, legal, employment, disability, treatment, housing, health insurance, and other related programs and/or services.
ANHRAP provides resource needs assessments through an informal interview over the telephone. If you live outside of the SCF Anchorage Service Unit or outside of Alaska, call or email ANHRAP for resource assistance. When traveling out of Alaska, call ANHRAP to locate the closest Indian Health, Tribal Health, or Urban Indian Health Facility in proximity to your destination or location.
If you live in the SCF Anchorage Service Unit, please contact a CRS by calling your primary care team directly or the main primary care number for a consultation by telephone or to schedule an in-clinic visit.
